Bijin-ga by Kitagawa Utamaro
Kitagawa Utamaro was a Japanese artist who has been famous especially for portraits of beautiful women, or bijin-ga, during the golden age of ukiyo-e (late in the eighteenth century). His unique portraits were so beautiful and gorgeous depicting a town girl who got the word on the streets in Edo or women in red-light districts that they gained popularity with the masses at that time.
